I work at the intersection of AI, education, and ethics, focusing on how universities can integrate emerging technologies into learning and assessment in meaningful, scalable ways.As an Academic Lead at Charles Sturt University, I design teaching, assessment, and institutional initiatives that respond to the challenges of AI. I also build real-world AI systems, including Quezzi, an AI-powered SMS platform.

My work is grounded in applied ethics, supported by a Master’s in Applied Ethics and three years of doctoral research in the ethics of emerging technologies. This background informs my approach to how education systems respond to AI in thoughtful and practical ways.As an Academic Lead in Enabling Education at Charles Sturt University, I teach subjects focused on critical thinking, student capability, and preparation for university study. My teaching is informed by enabling pedagogy and designed to develop academic skills alongside the ability to engage with complexity and navigate an AI-enabled world. I use this environment to design and test new approaches to assessment, engagement, and technology-enhanced learning. At an institutional level, I lead initiatives that translate strategic priorities into implementation, including AI-era assessment integrity frameworks, digital learning environments, and curriculum design. My work ensures innovation aligns with academic standards, governance requirements, and meaningful educational outcomes.Alongside my academic work, I design and deploy AI systems in real-world contexts. I am the founder of Quezzi, an AI-powered SMS service that provides access to conversational AI without apps or internet access. This work involves integrating large language models into messaging infrastructure, designing conversation systems, and building evaluation frameworks to support reliable, scalable deployment.
Quezzi is an AI-powered SMS platform that provides access to conversational AI without requiring apps, logins, or internet access. It is designed to make AI more accessible, reliable, and usable in real-world conditions, particularly where connectivity, simplicity, or digital friction are barriers. By using standard text messaging, Quezzi enables interaction with AI through one of the most universal and widely available communication channels.Quezzi integrates large language models with SMS infrastructure to deliver conversational AI through standard text messaging. The system includes:- AI orchestration across multiple models
- Message routing and response optimisation
- Conversation memory and context handling
- Evaluation frameworks to assess response quality and reliability
- Integration with SMS providers for scalable deliveryQuezzi has been developed and deployed as a live product across multiple international markets, demonstrating the viability of AI systems outside traditional app-based environments. The platform has been used in real-world conditions, including low-signal contexts, and has attracted interest from users seeking more accessible and less intrusive ways to interact with AI.Quezzi reflects my broader approach to AI: designing systems that are not only technically advanced but also expand human capability in practical, everyday contexts.

Interested in how AI is reshaping learning, assessment, and human capability. Always open to thoughtful conversations.
